LE Coach Recognition - ASCA Membership and Cerification Level
ASCA membership and certification means that you are serious about your profession.
It means you care about your continuing coaching education and your professional preparation.
It marks you as a coach who is in the mainstream of the coaching profession, and willing to be
examined in the same lights as the great coaches of this country, be they in collegiate, high school,
YMCA or club positions.  A certified coach is committed to professional effort, has professional
preparation and professional ethics.
There are five levels of ASCA certification:
Level 0 - Indicates ASCA membership with no certification
Level 1 - The Foundation of Coaching
Level 2 - The Stroke School
Level 3 - The Physiology School
Level 4 - The Administration School
Level 5 - The Leadership School
*ASCA membership and application process for certification must be applied for and is not
automatic if one passes the USA Swimming Coaching Requiremnt - see ASCA for further details.
